20. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
GUN DOES NOT SPRAY
Fluid adj. knob (13) closed.
Tip hole of nozzle (2) obstructed.
Deposit of paint between the fluid needle (2-1) and the needle
packing set (3).
Paint filter obstructed.
Non drip obstructed.
INTERMITTENT SPRAY PATTERN
Air leaks from fluid nozzle (2).
Air leaks from fluid needle packing (3).
Air leaks from cup joint.
Dirty inside air cap set (1).
DEFECTIVE SPRAY PATTERN
Dirty nozzle (2) or air cap set (1).
Nozzle (2) or air cap (1) has been damaged.
Fluid nozzle (2) is loose.
Paint viscosity too high or too low.
Fluid output too high or too low.
LEAKING
Fluid nozzle (2), needle set (2-1) or gun body, dirty, damaged
or worn on seat.
Dirty inside air cap set (1).
Loose fluid adj. knob (13).
Fluid needle spring set (11) is worn.
Loose fluid nozzle set (2).
Needle packing set (3) loose, too tight, dirty or worn.
AIR LEAKS FROM AIR CAP
Air valve (8), air valve seat (7) or air valve spring (9) dirty or
damaged.
Air valve seat set O'ring (7-1) damaged or worn.
DIGITAL PRESSURE GAUGE DOES NOT WORK
The pressure display doesn't indicate any pressure value.
The air pressure indicated on pressure display is not correct.
20.1 INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT STANDARD
WHERE TO INSPECT
Each hole passage of air cap (1) and fluid
Replace if it is crushed or deformed.
nozzle (2).
Packing and O ring.
Replace if it is deformed or worn out.
Leakage from seat section between fluid
Replace them if leakage does not stop after fully cleaning fluid nozzle
nozzle (2) and fluid needle set (2-1).
(2) and fluid needle set (2-1).
If you replace fluid nozzle (2) or fluid needle set (2-1) only, fully match
them and confirm that there is no leakage.
