Preparation
PLEASE NOTE!
•
In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device and the connecting cable for damage
each time before you use it. Use the device only if it is in working order.
•
The device should only be used if it has been correctly assembled! Before each use, check
whether the fi lter insert and the permanent fi lter are inserted correctly and whether the
water tank is fi lled correctly!
•
Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the device switches off
automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before water is poured in and the
device is used again.
•
Never use the device without a suitable jug below the coffee outlet.
1. Prepare the coffee machine (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter).
We recommend always making at least 4 cups of coffee as the brewing time when making
just 2 cups, for example, is very short for making coffee and this can have an adverse effect
on how the coffee tastes.
2. Press the operating button (5) to start the brewing process. The operating lamp lights up.
Hot water is poured over the coffee powder to brew it.
The operating lamp goes out after the end of the brewing process. The thermal jug can now be
removed.
Please Note! As the design of the device means that the hot water lines run under the surface
on which it is placed, the thermal jug (6) gets hot during the brewing process. This is normal and
does not represent a defect.
To end the brewing process prematurely, press the operating button again. The operating
lamp goes out and the brewing process is aborted.
Cleaning and Care
PLEASE NOTE!
•
Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean
the device. These may damage the surfaces.
1. Empty the permanent fi lter (11) or dispose of the fi lter paper and if necessary empty the
thermal jug (6).
2. Clean the permanent fi lter, the fi lter insert (10) and the thermal jug after every use with
detergent and warm water, or in the dishwasher.
Please Note! The thermal jug must not be cleaned in the dishwasher!
3. Wipe down the inside and outside of the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little
detergent to remove more intense soiling.
4. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.
