CHECKING THE AUTOMATION
Up-and-over garage doors that can be automated with
EM 51 operator (fi g.3):
A. Single panel door with side rollers sliding in vertical
guides; the counterweights (P - metal or cement blocks)
are fi xed to the rollers.
B. As in A but with draw springs instead of the counterweights
(MT).
C. As in B but with torsion springs (M) instead of draw
springs.
D. Single panel with vertical and horizontal guides; the guide
rollers are fi xed to the end of the panel; the lower rollers
are secured to the counterweights (P) by means of metal
cables or chains
E. Folding panel with side rollers sliding in vertical guides;
the rollers are secured; by metal cables or chains, to the
counterweights (P - metal or cement blocks)
Up-and-over garage doors that cannot be automated
with EM 51 operator:
To automate the types of up-and-over garage doors illustrated
in the fi gure it is necessary to use the TIRO model operator
(see price list); these up-and-over doors do not have
counterweights (fi g.3 - P) but they have draw springs (fi g.4 -
MT), positioned on each side of the garage door to facilitate
opening.

CHECKING THE AUTOMATION
Before fi tting the operator; check all the components listed
below and that these are undamaged. Then check that the
model code on the operator box corresponds to that on the
rating plate of the operator (fi g.5).
