9.1. First use
The spray gun is supplied pre-mounted. The chosen material nozzle must
be fitted (see chapter 8.1 or 8.2).
After unpacking, check:
■ Spray gun damaged.
■ Scope of supply complete (see chapter 5).
Damage from dirty compressed air
Using soiled compressed air can cause malfunctions.
→ Use clean compressed air. For example with SATA filter 544.
■ Check that all screws are screwed tight.
■ Screw pre-nozzle tight.
■ Connect spraying air connection to compressed air connection [1-9].
■ Connect material hose to material connection [1-10].
■ Rinse material passages with a suitable cleaning solution (see chap-
ter 11).
9.2. Normal operation
Before using the spray gun, heed/check the following points to warrant
safe working with the spray gun:
■ The necessary compressed air flow, material volume flow, material,
spraying air pressure are present.
■ Clean compressed air is being used.
Adjust material supply
■ Set the necessary material feed pressure at the high-pressure pump.
Adjust the atomising air pressure
The spray material is atomised with the airless principle. The material
arrives at the nozzle under high pressure and is atomised when it exits
the nozzle; the spray pattern is formed via the geometry of the material
nozzle.
If the material pressure necessary to form the spray fan pattern is not
reached, the material feed pressure must be increased.
■ Adjust the material pressure to the necessary input pressure.
Adjust spray fan pattern
