TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
Unit will not create a spark.
Spark but not lighting.
Pilot will not stay lit.
Pilot stays lit, but main burner
will not ignite.
Main burner goes out
periodically.
Burner goes out when heat
angle is changed.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Spark electrode broken.
2. Igniter wire may not be
attached to spark electrode.
3. Ground wire may not be
attached to frame.
4. Igniter wire damaged.
5. Piezo igniter defective or
broken.
6. HH-18SLN-A Only: Battery
needs to be replaced.
1. No propane to heater.
2. "PILOT" position not properly
aligned.
3. Pilot is blocked from spider
web or dirt.
1. Control knob not in "PILOT"
position.
2. New cylinders and tanks need
fuel line purged of air.
3. Pilot flame not surrounding
thermocouple.
4. Pilot flame too small to reach
thermocouple.
5. Tip-switch is activated.
6. Location is too windy.
1. Main burner orifice is blocked.
