The COMpact 5200, COMpact 5200R and COMpact 5500R devices are telecommunication
systems; they will be referred to as PBXs in the following. These PBXs connect various inter-
nal devices with various public telecommunication networks, thereby enabling external and
internal calls. For this purpose, the PBXs provide a number of different ports/interfaces. The
PBXs are structured modularly. They are suitable for use in the commercial sector (small to
midsize companies).
The COMpact 5200 is a PBX with a plastic casing available for wall mounting.
The COMpact 5200R and COMpact 5500R are PBXs with a 19" casing available for instal-
lation in a 19" rack. They are suitable for use in structured IT/telecommunication networks.
The PBXs are intended to be operated in closed rooms. In addition, all of the devices con-
nected to the system must be located in the building.
