ADJUSTING THE CHUCK
Before performing any adjustments or inserting or removing drill bits, etc. Ensure that the drill is
unplugged and that the trigger switch is in the 'off' position.
1. To open the chuck jaws, place the chuck key in one of the three holes on the chuck. Turn the
key anti-clockwise.
2. Insert the bit into the chuck. Centre it in the chuck jaws.
3.Place the chuck key in each of the three holes.Turn the chuck key clockwise. Tighten the chuck
securely.
4. Remove the chuck key and store it safely.
CAUTION: Never tighten or loosen the chuck by holding it and spinning the drill!

FORWARD/REVERSE CONTROL
The forward/reverse control determines the direction of rotation of the tool.
To select forward rotation, release the trigger switch and push the forward/reverse control to the
right side(R) of the tool.
To select reverse, push the forward/reverse control to the left side(L) of the tool.
WARNING. When changing the position of the control be sure the trigger is released and the mo-
tor is stationary.
