INSTRUCTION MANUAL FALL ARRESTER IRUDEK SEKURBLOK
CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE SEKURBLOK FALL ARRESTER.
The Sekurblok fall arrester is classified as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to
European Directive 89/686/EEC and conforms to European Standard EN 360:2002.

DESCRIPTION
This fall arrester is designed to minimise the risk/provide protection against falls from height.
Remember that no PPE offers absolute protection, so precautions must be taken for activities
involving risk.
MATERIAL
- Cable made of 5mm galvanised steel.
- Synthetic carabiner
- Carabiner 981
- Swivel carabiner 986
LOAD CAPACITY : 140 kg.
USE:
Follow steps 1 to 2 for the use of the fall arrester.
1. Connect the swivel ring at the top of the fall arrester to an appropriate anchorage point
above the user's head, using a carabiner ( EN 362 ) and ensure that the carabiner is
correctly closed.
2. Now connect the swivel carabiner of the device to the harness anchorage point and
ensure that it is correctly locked. In the event of a fall, the fall arrester locks and minimises
the impact forces on the user's body < 6 kN.
APPLICATION
The Sekurblok fall arrester can be used as part of a fall arrest system or as part of a restraint
system. When used as part of a fall arrest system, a suitable anchorage point (above the user's
head and minimum strength 10 kN) must be used. Connection to the anchorage point and other
equipment must be made via carabiners conforming to EN 362. The device is designed to be
used specifically for rope access work.
LIMITATIONS FOR USE

influence of alcohol or drugs.

-Before use, establish a rescue plan so that it can be implemented in the event of an
emergency.
-Prior written consent from the manufacturer is required for any alteration or modification of
