2 GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Before connecting the rooftop air conditioner to the power supply, ensure
you have inserted the safety devices, such as fuses or a thermal-magnetic
circuit breaker, inside the electrical system.
Verify the correct earthing of the system.
See the wiring diagram at the end of the manual.
2.3 Personal safety
The installation, maintenance and repair work on the rooftop air condition-
er must be exclusively carried out by qualified F-Gas personnel who are
informed about the dangers associated with the use of refrigerant gas and
air conditioning systems and who are familiar with the relative regulations.
Repairs carried out incorrectly may cause substantial hazards. In case of
repairs, contact the service centre in your country.
2.4 Safety during assembly operations
For assembly operations where there is a risk of falls, it is necessary to
adopt suitable safety measures, such as a work platform, when working
on the campervan roof. Furthermore, make sure that the roof of the vehicle
has sufficient load-bearing capacity to carry out the assembly operations.
During assembly, also make sure that:
• the appliance is not connected to the power grid
• the person in charge of the installation does not suffer from vertigo
• the person in charge is equipped with non-slip safety footwear
• the climbing equipment is non-slip and dry
• the platform or ladder is sufficiently stable and robust
