5.3 Selecting "Cooling" mode
Turn on the air conditioner with the ON/OFF button, select the Cooling
mode (
) by pressing the MODE button (

The rooftop air conditioner confirms that it has received the data by
emitting a loud beep. The temperature and fan speed of the rooftop air
conditioner is set. When set to "vel Automatica" [Automatic speed] the air
conditioner will automatically select the most appropriate mode to reach
the set temperature. Once the set temperature has been reached, the
compressor switches off and the fan speed is reduced to a minimum.
Please note: The function will only be activated if the set temperature
is lower than the room temperature. Otherwise, the system will emit an
error beep sound (see chapter 7.5 managing errors).
Defrost function.
In the case of models with heat pump, during normal operation, if the
evaporator probe reaches a temperature at which ice could form on the
evaporator, the compressor switches off and then starts up again when
normal operating conditions are restored. This suspension time is at least
3 min.
