4.5 Indications for optimal use
The operation of the rooftop air conditioner can be optimised by observing
the following guidelines:
•
Improve the vehicle's thermal insulation by sealing any gaps and instal-
ling reflective roller blinds or window shades.
•
After the vehicle has been exposed to direct sunlight for an extended
period of time, you must activate the "Ventilation" mode to air out the
passenger compartment with the windows open. Only then will it be
possible to activate the "Cooling" mode.
•
In the "Cooling", "Dehumidifying", and "Heating" modalities, avoid ope-
ning windows and doors when not necessary.
•
Ensure the air vents are directed in the correct position.
•
Make sure that cloths, paper or other objects are not blocking the air
vents and intake grilles.
•
For maximum effectiveness, make sure the cabin is clean and not
damp. If the room temperature is higher than 40°C, extend the ventila-
tion time by 15-30 minutes.
4.6 Turning the rooftop air conditioner on and off
•
The rooftop air conditioner must be powered at 230V in order to control
it via the remote control.
•
For models featuring heating elements only:
If the rooftop air conditioner running in "Heating" mode is switched
off with the remote control, the fan continues to run for a few more
minutes to prevent the appliance from heating up.
Please note: for models with electrical heating elements, ensure that
the power supply is sufficient before activating heating mode. (See table
Chap. 7.2 Technical data)
