› Use a felt-tip pen to mark a line for cutting out the superfluous part on the rear bumper
(hereafter simply referred to as the bumper) in accordance with the measurement in the
figure. Place the diffuser on the bumper and use a suitable felt-tip pen to mark the width of
the cut-out on the bumper.
› Cut out the superfluous part of the bumper along the marked line and dispose of it as
sorted waste.
› Clean any burr with a suitable tool.
› Proceed with the utmost caution to avoid damaging the sensor wiring harness.
Fig. 8

› To bond the bumper spoiler, thoroughly clean the surface of the bumper with mild soapy
water and rinse it with clean water. Then clean the surface with a suitable cleaning agent
(we recommend Terostat 8550) and degrease it. Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Note. Ensure that the entire surface of the bumper is completely free
from dirt and moisture when bonding the bumper spoiler. Do not
touch the clean surface with your hands under any circumstance.
Fig. 11, 12
› Correctly position the bumper spoiler (A) on the bumper so that the contact surface matches
the shape of the bumper.
Note. The upper edge of the bumper spoiler must be 2 mm below the
bumper recess. The gap must be identical on both sides of the
bumper spoiler (see detail).
› Hold down the bumper spoiler and use a touch-up paint pen to trace the height of the
upper edge in several places to aid the subsequent bonding. Plot vertical lines to check the
position of the bumper spoiler when bonding.
› Three members of staff are required to carry out this operation.
Fig. 13
› Insert the cover cap (C) into the opening for the towing lug cover cap and secure it with
body adhesive tape. The side edges, as well as the rear and front edges of the cap must
be aligned with the edges of the opening in the bumper spoiler.
