General cleaning and inspection of the unit
Every six months, the unit should be cleaned using a moist cloth. The general conditions of the unit should always be checked every six months. Any
corrosion must be treated with protective paints in order to prevent possible damage.
IMPORTANT!
Provide mandatory controls and inspections pursuant to EU 517/2014.
Cleaning of Finned Coils
DANGER!
Pay attention to the lugs and edges of the battery.
The coils must be washed and brushed gently with water and soap. Remove any foreign bodies from the condensing coils which may block the passage
of air, such as: leaves, paper, debris, and so on; Replace the coils should it not be possible to clean them. Failure to clean the coils increases pressure
drops and therefore reduces overall machine performance. For better battery protection, it is recommended to install the RPE accessories (battery protec-
tion networks) or FMB (metal filters batteries).

Notes
Any points where corrosion is starting need to be
touched up with protective paint.
The coils must be kept clear from any obstruc-
tions. If needed, they must be washed with deter-
gents and water. Brush the fins gently to keep
them from being damaged.
The fan grilles must be kept clear from any ob-
structions. Make sure the motors and fan blades
are clean and that there are no abnormal vibra-
tions.
The units are equipped with oil sight glasses on
the compressor. The lubricating oil level in the
compressor can be checked by means of the
sight-glass.
Any incrustation of the exchanger may be de-
tected by measuring the pressure-drop between
the inlet and outlet pipes, using a differential pres-
sure gauge.
It is mandatory to install a mesh filter on the unit's
inlet water piping. This filter must be cleaned from
time to time.
