6 Putting into operation
6.1 Connecting to the shielding gas supply
Risk of injury due to incorrectly handling the shielding gas cylinder
Improper use or incorrect connection of the shielding gas cylinder can result in serious injury.
► Observe the gas manufacturer's instructions and regulations that apply to compressed air.
► Ensure that the shielding gas cylinder is only placed on the designated shelf and secure it.
► Ensure that the shielding gas cylinder does not become hot.
► Ensure that all gas connections are gas-tight.
Place the shielding gas cylinder on the designated shelf.

Secure the shielding gas cylinder with a safety chain.

Attach the pressure reducer to the shielding gas cylinder.

► Connect the shielding gas hose to the decompression valve or the shielding gas supply line and check
for leaks.
6.2 MIG/MAG welding
6.2.1 Connecting the welding torch cable assembly

The frictional resistance of the welding wire in the wire guide tube increases with the length of the welding
torch cable assembly.
► Connect the welding torch cable assembly with a max. length of 5 m to the euro connector socket (A)
and extraction hose connector (B).
