shows "0". If you press the Power button again, the device
will turn off. The device will turn off automatically if there is
no activity for 5 minutes.
D. Place the pressure sensor medially on measurement point
B1 (calf muscle insertion point), which is about 10 – 15 cm
above the medial malleolus. The scale of the positioning
aid must point outwards. In order to determine correct
placement of the pressure sensor, first hold the positioning
aid over the applied compression bandages (or the applied
compression rolls). Read on the positioning aid how far
under the compression garment the pressure sensor needs
to be inserted to be located in the correct position.
E. Now, using the positioning aid, ease the sensor unit
under the compression garment until the centimetre value
previously determined is displayed at the upper edge of
the compression garment. Apply gentle but not excessive
pressure on the extremity as you do this to make the
insertion easier. The dynamic display shows pressure values
from 1 to 154 mmHg. Pressure values above 155 mmHg are
displayed as "HI".
F. Press the Save button , to save a reading. As confirmation,
the display will flash once, then immediately return to the
dynamic display. You can save 10 readings.
G. You can retrieve saved readings by pressing the
The last saved reading will be displayed first. To return to
the dynamic display, press the Power button
If "LOW" is displayed, the battery is flat and must be replaced.
The battery compartment is located on the back of the monitor
and control unit. Push the cover of the battery compartment in
the direction of the arrow to open it. Remove the flat battery and
insert the new battery in accordance with the indication of plus
and minus pole inside the compartment. Do not use a different
type of battery than indicated in the battery compartment. Please
follow the instructions about disposing of the old battery.
Important: In connection with a adjustable compression devic-
es, we generally recommend using the sensor unit over a liner
stocking to make inserting and removing of the positioning aid
easier. In particular with very tight compression rolls, excessive
sweating and / or very thin, sensitive skin, the sensor unit
should be positioned before putting on the compression rolls
to prevent damaging the skin. To make this process easier, you
can secure the positioning aid under the tubular bandage. To
remove the sensor unit from under the compression garment,
pull it out from the upper end of the positioning aid. For this,
we recommend gently pushing the positioning aid against the
extremity without applying excessive pressure. At the same
time, you should hold on to the top of the connecting hose to
prevent the pressure sensor from slipping off the positioning
aid. If it is difficult to remove the sensor unit from under the
compression garment (e.g. in the case of excessive sweating),
pull it out without the protective cover first, then carefully
remove the protective cover.
Storage and cleaning
With the exception of the battery, the device has been
designed for a usage period of 5 years.
Store the device at room temperature and protect it from sun-
light, humidity and strong vibrations (do not bump it or drop it).
When transporting the device or not using it, only ever store
it in the designated hard case. This is the only way you can
guarantee that the measuring unit is not excessively bent,
stressed or overtightened.
Store the device away from small children.
Remove the battery if the device will not be used for three
months or more.
Do not use any solvents for cleaning the device.
If required, clean the monitor and control unit with a soft, dry cloth.
If required, clean the sensor unit with an appropriate agent for
wipe disinfection.
Indications
button.
Measuring contact pressure of compression wraps, measuring
contact pressure under adjustable compression devices (ACD).
.
Contraindications
Open wounds, untreated, advanced skin conditions and
contact dermatitis, contact allergy to PET or plastic
Relative contraindications
Pressure sensitivity and sensitivity disorders
Important
If there are open wounds in the area to be treated, the affected
area must be covered with an appropriate wound dressing or
bandage before the compression garment can be applied. Li-
ability for failure to comply with these contraindications cannot
be accepted by the Julius Zorn GmbH Group.
