00 Dolby NR
The builtin Dolby Noise Reduction system produces aremark-
able reduction of inherent tape noise during recording and
playback, thus increasing the dynamic range of any tape used.
To play back cassettes carrying the Dolby symbol ДО or those
which were recorded with the Dolby Nr system as described
on page 9, depress the Dolby NR button 18. The builtin
Dolby Nr system operates automatically and does not require
special adjustments or switch settings when using either one of
the tape materials listed on the page 3.
The level of the 400 Hz Dolby test cassette results in a level of
approx. +3 dB.
Counter
The index counter 11 is a convenient means of noting and
quickly locating specific spots on a recorded tape. It functions
during recording, playback and fast winding in either direc-
tion.
It is good practice to set the index counter reset 12. at the be.
ginning of a tape and then you can note the counter position
at the beginning of a particular section and subsequently find
it easily.

the lower edge downward into vertical position until it has latched.
A click will be heard when the cassette is properly loaded.
The cassette may be removed anytime in all operating modes
without previously depressing the stop button 4. Infrared
light safety switches 2 + 10 will cause the tape transport
system to stop immediately and retract the tape heads in order
