6. INITIAL OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Perform the following steps before starting the pump:
1. Remove the plug from the pre-filter by unscrewing the nut holding it in place.
2. Fill the pump with water through the pre-filter until the water comes up through the suction
hose.
3. If the basket is removed during these operations, be sure to replace it to prevent large
particles from entering the pump and blocking it.
4. Check that the mains voltage and frequency match those indicated on the pump rating
plate.
- Insert the cap of the pre-filter and screw it firmly, without forgetting to place the seal in its
housing.
- The pumps must not operate without the pre-filter having been filled with water beforehand.
Failure to do so may result in damage to the mechanical seal, resulting in loss of water.
- Open all valves and connect the motor.
- Enable self-priming and wait a reasonable time for it to end.
7. MAINTENANCE AND WINTERING
- Clean the pre-filter basket regularly to avoid pressure drops. To prevent the basket
from breaking, do not hit it during the cleaning process.
- Empty the pump if it has to be stopped for a while, especially in cold countries where
there is a risk of freezing.
- At each opening of the pre-filter, clean the seal and its seat of any impurities to ensure air
tightness when the cap is closed.

- Pump components that, due to their normal use, undergo wear and/or deterioration, must
be replaced regularly to ensure good pump performance. The following table shows the
