Your timepiece features hours and minutes (1 and 2) as well as a
tourbillon located at 6 o'clock with indication of the seconds (3) and
date (4).
The tourbillon revolves on itself over a minute to compensate for the
effects of gravity on the regulating organ in vertical positions.
Instructions for setting
Winding and time setting:
The winding and time-setting crown (I) may be placed in one of two
positions: A or B.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
If the watch has not been worn for some time, wind it by rotating the
crown (I) clockwise through several turns. It is unnecessary to fully
wind a watch that is going to be worn.
The crown (I) will not be locked at the end of the winding cycle; the
mechanism therefore cannot be damaged.
NOTE: the power reserve is approximately 72 hours.
B: Time-setting position.
Pulled out to this position, the winding and time-setting crown (I)
makes it possible to set the time by turning it. Then push the winding
and time-setting crown (I) back to position A to restart the watch.
It is generally preferable to set the time by advancing the hour and
minute hands (1 and 2) in the clockwise direction. The hands can
however be moved backwards provided you end the adjustment by
advancing them.
10
NOTE: If the time is set during the afternoon, the hour hand (1) must
have carried out more than a full rotation since the last date change
(4 hand) to ensure a date change at midnight.
Date correction (4):
To correct the date (4) operate the date corrector (II) using the
corrector pen (III) supplied with the watch. Each pressure on the
date corrector (II) moves the date forward one day.
NOTE: The watch does not take account of the number of days in
the month. Months with less than 31 days will therefore have to be
readjusted manually using the date corrector (II).
You should not adjust the date (4) between 10 pm and 1 am,
otherwise the date (4) will not change for the next 24 hours.
However, there is no risk of damaging the mechanism if the change
is made within this time range.
Water-resistance
The water-resistance of the watch is tested for a pressure of 3 bar.
