1.3 Shipment & unpacking

Check the appliance for damage after it is unpacked. Do not use damaged
equipment. Return defective appliances in the appropriate packaging to HS-UK
for repair.
Retain original packaging. Use original packaging when transporting or returning
for servicing.
The device should be cleaned after unpacking before its first use.
1.4 Installation warnings
Only original manufacturer-supplied replacement parts and materials may
be used.

Repairs may only be performed by fully-trained Haag-Streit UK accredited

1.5 Operation environment
This equipment must only be operated by qualified medical professionals.
The clinical institute is responsible for any training on the device. The Perkins
tonometer may only be used in accordance with the intended use.
Never use the device in a potentially explosive environment where volatile
solvents (alcohol, petrol etc) and flammable anaesthetics are in use.
The examination is to be performed at the medical professional's discretion and
consideration should be taken in cases of active infections and lesions of the
eye. Certain conditions could falsify measured values and the procedure may
interfere with the patient's condition.
Strong magnetic fields may falsify the measurement results.
