3.1. UNPACKING
1. Carefully open the packaging, paying attention not to
lose components
2. Consult the documentation in the box, including these
instructions.
3. Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.
4. Remove the machine from the packaging taking the
following precautions:
- move the cutting means assembly to its maximum height
(par. 4) to protect it against damage when the machine
is lifted off the base pallet;
- Move the front drive release lever to the released position
(par. 4) (for models with hydrostatic drive).
- Lift the machine off the base pallet.
3.2. SEAT ASSEMBLY
Seat assembly (Mod. 740 IOX, 540 IX): See figure 3.
Seat assembly (Mod. 340 IX): See figure 3.
Bellow assembly (Mod. 740 IOX, 540 IX): See figure 4.
Glove compartment assembly: See figure 5.
The armrests and the components required for their installation
are supplied in a separate package in the machine's
packaging.

3.5. ASSEMBLY OF THE QUICK-RELEASE
SUPPORTS
The quick-release supports and the relative instructions
are supplied in a separate package in the packaging of the
machine.
Install the quick-release supports on the front axle shafts.
3.6. MOUNTING THE ATTACHMENTS
See separate installation guide supplied with each
attachment.
4. CONTROLS
• Main key switch (8:A)
The power supply is activated via the key.
Insert the key into the main switch, press and turn it clockwise
to activate the power supply.
Turn the key anticlockwise to deactivate the power supply.
• Parking brake pedal (9:A)
Released: the drive is engaged. the
parking brake is not activated.
Fully pressed: the drive is
released. The parking brake is
fully activated but not locked.
• Parking brake locking lever (9:B)
Locks the brake pedal in the fully depressed
position.
• Drive pedal (9:C)
By pressing the pedal forwards, the
machine advances.
When there is no load on the pedal the
machine is stopped.
By pressing the pedal backwards, the
machine moves in reverse gear.
By reducing pressure on the pedal the
machine brakes.
• Throttle control (10:A)
Full on.
Idle.
• Air control (10:B)
Full throttle: The choke is engaged. For the cold
start.
Control pushed in: The choke is disengaged.
Normal operation and hot start.
• Key switch (10:C)
The key enables/disables the machine ignition.
IMPORTANT Remove the key whenever the machine is left
unattended or not in use.
• Console mode key display (Mod. 740 IOX, 540 IX)
(10:D and 11)
MODE key (10:E).
Digits (11:A).
Timer (11:B).
Ambient temperature (11:C).
Tachometer (11:D).
