Air piston *
23 Install washer (10), brass color, and
O-ring (9) onto rod (12).
NOTE
Use care not to switch washers (6 and 10).
Damage to component may occur.
24 Install Quad-ring (8) onto air piston (7).
25 Place air piston (observe THIS SIDE UP)
on top of rod.
26 Install washer (6), silver color, and nut (5)
that secures air piston to rod. Tighten
nut securely.
NOTE
Place an appropriate size punch or other
suitable tool into hole of rod (12).
Model 9930 only:
26.1 Install and seat O-ring (20) into
groove of camlock adapter (21).
26.2 Install camlock adapter onto
pump tube, making sure
screw holes align.
26.3 Install lock washers (22) and
screws (23) that secure camlock
adapter to body.
26.4 Tighten screws securely.
Attach air motor to pump
tube
27 Clamp pump at flats of body (13) securely
in a soft jaw vise.
28 Install bottom cap onto body.
29 Install O-ring (11) onto upper groove of
body. Angle cylinder onto Quad-ring to
aid installation.
NOTE
Install cylinder with care. Damage to
Quad-ring (8) and O-ring (11) can
occur.
30 Install cylinder over O-ring (11) and seat
it properly onto bottom cap.
31 Install top cap onto cylinder. Use care
passing O-ring.
32 Install keeper (14) into groove of body.
Make sure hole aligns with bolt (1).
33 Install one bolt through air motor and
through keeper.
34 Install flange nut (4). Do not tighten at
this time.
35 Repeat for additional keepers and bolts.
NOTE
Do not over tighten flange nuts (4).
Component damage can occur.
36 Torque each flange nut in an alternate
pattern from 60 to 70 in lbf
(6.8 to 7.9 Nm).
37 Install final bolt into remaining hole of
top cap and onto flange nut. Tighten to
50 in lbf (5.6 Nm).
38 Snap cover (3) onto cylinder.
