WARNING
Do not exceed lowest pressure rating of
any component in system.
Failure to comply may result in
serious injury or death.
WARNING
Do not operate pump with broken,
missing or defective parts. Replace
defective parts prior to operation.
Failure to comply may result in
serious injury or death.
WARNING
Do not operate with leakage in system.
Disconnect air to motor.
Failure to comply may results in
serious injury.
Bench test and
operation
NOTE
Perform the following procedures at a
pressure not to exceed 40 psi (2.8 bar).
Bench test
With air pressure at zero:
1 Connect air line to inlet of air motor.
2 Slowly supply air pressure to pump
motor. Use recommended minimum
of 25 psi (1.7 bars).
3 Pump should cycle. If pump does not
cycle, refer to Troubleshooting, page 15
for details.
Priming
With air pressure at zero:
4 Connect product hose to material outlet.
5 Direct hose into an appropriate
collection container.
6 Place pump in product.
7 Slowly supply air pressure to
pump motor.
8 Allow pump to cycle slowly until system
and product is free of air.
9 If pump does not prime, refer to
Troubleshooting, page 15 for details.
13
Stall test
With air pressure at zero:
10 Attach a control valve to outlet hose
of pump. Make sure nozzle on
control valve is open.
11 Slowly supply air pressure to
pump motor.
12 Allow pump to cycle slowly until grease
is once again free of air.
13 Set air pressure to normal
operating pressure.
14 Operate control valve into a container.
15 Shut off control valve.
16 Pump should not cycle more than once
or twice in one hour.
17 Visually inspect pump for external leaks.
18 Pump should not cycle. If pump does not
stall, refer to Troubleshooting, page 15
for details.
Air leakage
19 Check motor for air leakage.
20 Refer to air motor manual 339413
if motor leaks.
