ð The unbalanced load is limited to 20 A (default
setting).
To limit the unbalanced load to a different current
value, the configuration tool is required.

Use cases
6.2.1 Downgrade
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
If the maximum mains supply current is not avail-
able under certain circumstances or at certain
times, the charging current can be reduced by us-
ing the downgrade input. For example, the down-
grade input can be controlled by the following cri-
teria or control systems:
n Electricity rate
n Time
n Load shedding
n Manual control
n External load management
In the delivery state, the downgrade input is con-
trolled as follows:
Switching contact
Downgrade status

open
Downgrade inactive
closed
Downgrade active
The configuration tool is required to change the lo-
gic of the downgrade input.

ATTENTION
Material damage due to improper installation
Improper installation of the switching contact can
damage the product or lead to malfunctions. Ob-
serve the following requirements during the install-
ation:
u Select suitable cable routing to avoid interfer-
ence.
