The specified vibration total value and the spec-
ified noise emission values have been measured
according to a standardized test method (Vi-
bration: EN 1033:1995; noise emissions: prEN
1553:1996) and can be used to compare one
appliance tool with another. They can also be
used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
Warning!
The vibration and noise emissions can deviate
from the specified values while the appliance is in
operation, depending on the manner in which the
appliance is being used. Safety measures must be
established to protect the operator, and these must

be based on an estimate of the workload during
actual operating conditions (all components of the
operating cycle must be considered in this regard,
e.g., times at which the appliance is switched
off and times when it is indeed switched on but
running without any workload).
Try to keep exposure to vibration and noise as low
as possible. Examples of measures to reduce the
load are:
- wearing vibration-damping gloves and ear
protection when using the appliance
- limitating working hours,
- using accessories that are in good condition,
- regular maintenance and cleaning of the tool,
- switching off the tool when it is not in use,
- not overloading the device.
CAUTION!
DAMAGE TO HEALTH
FROM HAND-ARM VIBRATIONS CAN
RESULT IF THE APPLIANCE IS USED FOR A
PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME OR IF THE
APPLIANCE IS NOT PROPERLY MANAGED
AND MAINTAINED.
Vibration absorption systems do not guarantee
protection against Raynaud's disease or carpal
tunnel syndrome. For this reason, the condition
of the operator's fingers and wrists should be
carefully monitored when the appliance is used
in continuous operation on a regular basis. If
symptoms of the above-mentioned disorders
occur, consult a doctor immediately. To reduce
the risk of "Raynaud's disease," keep your
hands warm while working and take breaks at
regular intervals.
