Carefully check the soil to be pro-

well as hard or sharp objects, such
as stones, sticks, glass, wire, bones
or other similar objects.

Do not use the appliance on soil
containing large stones and for-
eign objects that could damage the
appliance.
Do not work in areas where the soil
below contains buried electrical
cables, telephone wires, water and
gas pipes, ducts or hoses. In case
of doubt, contact the local utility
company or the telephone service
provider to locate buried service
lines.
Onlookers, children and animals
must maintain a distance of 23 m.
Stop the appliance immediately if
a person is approaching.
Adopt the work you are perform-
ing to local conditions as well as
to the performance capacity of the
appliance.
The appliance is equipped with
a clutch. Press the clutch lever to
check whether it automatically
reverts to the original position. If
this is not the case, the unit must be
recalibrated by qualified person-
nel.
Release the clutch before you start
the motor.
Start the motor carefully in accord-
ance with the specifications. In
doing so, keep your feet a reason-
able distance away from the tiller
head.
The tiller head will not move if the
