With paste burners/holder
Lower the paste burner holder into the frame, insert 1 or 2 paste burners and light them. Then place the
chafing dish in the frame.
The following instructions apply to all HOT & FRESH chafing dishes operated with a heating
element or paste burner :
 If using a heating element, first remove any paste burner holders fitted.
 If using paste burners, first remove any electric heating components fitted.
 Fill water bath tank with water which is as hot as possible (around 70°C to max. 80°C)
(note the filling level mark!)
 Switch on hot plate or light the paste burner.
 Light paste burner and allow to burn for about 1 minute before inserting. Allow about 30 minutes for the
chafing dish to reach its ideal operating temperature.
 Keep lid closed until food is removed. The lid should also be kept closed as much as possible when in use, to
prevent the surface of the food from cooling.
Hot plate with regulator :
 The built-in regulator controls the temperature of the hot plate in small increments by breaking the
current circuit.
 You can check the correct setting by the indicator lamp, as the hot plate switches off shortly before
reaching the set temperature.
