There are two water discharge valves for wet resources supply, mainly for avoiding problems related to bacterial
proliferation (legionella) and frost:
•
SV.SC1 discharge ramps (i.e. piping portions that bring water to spray nozzles and adiabatic panels)
•
SV.SC2 discharge collection tank (only for EMERITUS® machines with spray water recovery).
Water discharge can be activated in different modes; during the discharge process, the operations of adiabatic panels
and sprayers are blocked.
Under rest conditions, after the discharge phase, the wet resources remain drained until the next utilization;
furthermore, after a blackout, the spray systems and adiabatic panels are automatically emptied.
9.1
You can manually launch discharge through ADVANCED → MANUAL → WATER DISCHARGE.
To activate discharge, move the cursor to "Start" using the UP and DOWN keys. Then press ENTER. The screen
indicates Activation by means of the icon and "In Progress" flashing. To stop the manual discharge, move the cursor to
"Stop" with the UP and DOWN keys and confirm with the ENTER key.
If spray and/or adiabatic panels are active, the condition is reported a request is made to continue; if you choose to
continue, the spray/adiabatic panels are blocked.
If manual deactivation of the discharge function is not complete, after 10 minutes the function is automatically
deactivated.
9.2
The LU1W controller implements a timed discharge function. After the time counter PR15 from the last use of a wet
resource is expired, the system enter in discharge mode for a duration equal to PR53.
9.3
Discharge is activated by dedicated digital input, for an activation duration equal to PR53 seconds (see 9.2). The digital
input used for the discharge function is DI6. Parameter PH46 manages the polarity of the digital contact: N.O. → open
contact = no discharge, closed contact = discharge activation command. If upon the discharge activation command,
the adiabatic panel or sprayers are active, they will be blocked.
9.4
Finally, with antifreeze function, the current discharge state is used to inhibit the operation of wet resources supply
when the ambient temperature falls below the set threshold (parameter PE18). Sprayers and adiabatic panels cannot
be used until the ambient temperature rises above PE18 + differential PE19. For safety reasons, the parameter that
enables the outdoor temperature discharge function, PE17, is set to read-only.
