3.3.2 Extending battery autonomy
Series II external battery chargers are available
optionally with the Power Lan+ and Power Rack+
models to extend the battery's autonomy indefini-
tely.

4. Service conditions
The UPS units leave the factory with certain default settings which can be modified by using
the monitoring software that comes with the units.
· Learned autonomy: This is the real autonomy of the UPS configuration plus battery hou-
sing with the current charge. (10 minutes, factory default)
· Pre-alarm: the time during which the battery signal remains lit before the end of the batter-
y's autonomy. (2 minutes, factory default)
- Authorised autonomy. The time limit on the UPS' autonomy (no time limit, factory default)
4.1 Operating test
To verify how the unit will work during a power failure, disconnect the power supply
to the UPS with the batteries charged.

These chargers are installed in housings of three char-
ger modules. It is possible to connect as many chargers
as desired for a particular application in parallel.
