7.2 Adjusting the upper arm rotation joint

Complete the following steps to rotate and adjust the upper arm rotation joint:

7.3 Adjusting the electrodes (only for 12K50)
The electrode setting depends on the chosen electric hand and the components that are used (e.g. 12E205
MyoRotronic). Observe the supplied instructions for use for the electrodes, electric hand and other components
when making settings.
7.4 Program settings (only for 12K50)
Program settings with the MyoSelect
Complete the following steps to make program settings with the MyoSelect:
1) Remove the battery or turn off the MyoEnergy Integral.
2) Remove the electric wrist rotator and MyoRotronic if present.
3) Connect the 9E169 coaxial plug to the electronics housing.
4) Connect the MyoSelect with the 9E169 coaxial plug and 12K50.
5) Select the appropriate program in the MyoSelect.
6) Disconnect the 9E169 coaxial plug from the electronics housing.
7) Reinstall the electric wrist rotator and MyoRotronic if applicable.
8) Install the battery or switch on the MyoEnergy Integral.
Program settings using the programming plugs
Complete the following steps to make program settings with the programming switch:
► Connect the appropriate program switch (see Page 40) to the electronics housing.

7.5 Program switching (only for 12K50)

The following switching methods can be selected:
Switch
Electrodes (generating a co-contraction)
12K41, 12K42, 12K44, 12K50
Range 1 = low compensation level
Permits the arm to swing freely while walking.
Range 2 = moderate compensation level
Balance is positively supported when flexing the arm.
Compensation is reduced again during extension.
Range 3 = constant compensation level
If set correctly, the weight of the forearm is balanced by
the compensation level.
Range 4 = low compensation level
Low compensation until flexion stop.
1) Loosen the adjusting screw.
2) Move the upper arm rotation joint to the desired
position.
3) Re-tighten the adjusting screw.
