8. Seat skull pins firmly into the cranial table by placing the rocker arm skull pins so that they
engage perpendicular to the scalp. Advance the ratchet extension to make contact with the
scalp and continue until some force is indicated by the Force Applicator.
9. Adjust the force on the pins by turning the Force Applicator until the desired force is indicated
at the Force Applicator shaft.
10. Rotate Stop Wheel until it is flush against the face of the ratchet extension. This holds the load
when the Force Applicator is removed.
IMPORTANT: The Stop Wheel is NOT a lock knob. Once full contact is achieved, do
not turn the Stop Wheel further because doing so will apply additional force to the
pins that will not be indicated by the Force Applicator.
