8 iNsTAll THe sTRAiN Relief AND HOse BARB
TO THe seATpOsT
Thread the hose barb assembly into the seatpost
until it stops. Use a torque wrench and a 7 mm
crowfoot socket to tighten the assembly to
3.3-4.5 N∙m (30-40 in-lb).

MeAsURe AND cUT THe HOse
Determine where you need to cut the new hose by routing it from the remote assembly
to the seatpost while the seatpost is in the fully extended position. Make sure to leave
a gentle bend at both the remote and the seatpost and account for handlebar rotation.
Use a high quality hydraulic hose cutter to cut the hose to the desired length.

iNsTAll THe ReMOTe HOse BARB TO THe HOse
Use a T10 TORX
into the hose. Use a torque wrench with a T10 TORX socket (or a 6 mm crowfoot
socket) to tighten the hose barb to 0.09-0.20 N∙m (0.8-1.8 in-lb). Ensure the o-ring is
present on the hose barb.
