INSTALLATION
ATTENTION
Place at a distance of at least 60 cm from any heat source (fig. 3).
ICL IW/3 base section
Level the machine using the adjustable feet (7 fig.4).
Hook-up to the electric mains (see the section on Electrical and Pneumatic hook-up).
ICL IW/A additional section
Various configurations can be created by adding sections to the base section.
To make a multi-section configuration add one additional section to the base section and
so on, up to a permitted maximum of 24 heads.
ICL IW/AP prefitted additional section
For a configuration from 24 up to 48 heads, a special extension (ICL IW/AP) must be used.
This comprises an automatic transformer which supplies power to the second section of
the machine. In practice, the complete machine is split into two parts of 24 heads each, the
first supplied by the automatic transformer of the drive section and the second by the
automatic transformer of the special extension - fig. 6.

ADDITIONAL SECTIONS
Remove the left-hand casing 1 fig. 4 (base section). Position the frame 2 fig.4 of the
additional section over that of the previous section. Remove the temporary support (3
fig.4).
Position the beam correctly, connect the units together using the screws supplied with the
installation kit. Securely tighten, after having made sure the beams are perfectly aligned.
Connect the centre panel (4 fig.4) and the 230 V power supply cable (5 fig.4). Replace the
GB
left-hand side panel (1 fig.4) on the additional section and level using the adjustable feet
(7 fig.4).
For the section-to-section electrical connection of a machine having a total of 6 heads (two
sections), the power supply at 230V must be taken from the terminal board (provided
inside each section electrical panel) of the first section (drive section) using the extension
cable (1 fig.6) already connected to the drive section. Connect the cable to the terminal
board of the second section.
If the configuration has more than 6 but no more than 24 heads, then high-voltage power (230
V) must be taken from the transformer (2 fig. 6) of the drive section. The 3rd, 5th and 7th
sections are then supplied by means of cables 3-4-5 fig. 6, and the other section-to-section
connections are made as described in the previous example and illustrated in fig. 6.
Finally, if the configuration has more than 24 but no more than 48 heads, the 9th section
will be prefitted with an additional autotransformer (like a second drive section) supplied
