2) Dry the system joints with a cloth or allow to air dry. Avoid exposure to
direct heat (e.g. from an oven or radiator).
The system joints must be cleaned promptly after coming into contact with
lubricants (e. g. grease, oil):
1) Damp a cloth with a degreasing cleaning agent (e. g. acetone or isopro­
pyl alcohol).
2) Wipe down the system joints or components with the cloth.
8 Maintenance
Ottobock recommends a semi-annual inspection of the system joints to verify
functionality, check for wear and confirm the proper functioning of the com­
pression springs (513D18=4.7x31-2).
Spare parts are listed in the section "Components/Design" (Compon­
ents/Design).
