Main supply connection
Connect the welding machine into a plug socket with an earth connection and the green pilot light will
come on. Ensure that the current is within the margins of (230 V ± 15).
The machine will not operate outside of these limits. The connection to the mains supply MUST have an
earth terminal.
The Use of Electrical Generators
ICON and ICON PRO models are designed to operate with an electrical generator. These generators ho-
wever, must fulfil a series of requirements. We recommend using generators with a constant power of at
least 8kVA with an asynchronous type alternator. If the generator does not have sufficient force or the exit
power is outside the equipment limits, it may cause the arc to shut off and as a consequence, loss of weld
quality.

TECHNICAL DATA

The technical specifications plate is attached to the equipment. An example of this plate:
1- Name and address of the manufacturer.
2- European reference standard.
3- Symbol of the internal structure of the equipment.
4- Symbol of the welding procedure.
5- Symbol of the type of current.
6- Type of power required. Single-phase AC voltage and frequency.
7- Protection rating.
8- Indication of the possibility of using the equipment in environments of increased safety.
9- Features of the welding circuit.
Uo maximum voltage at no-load (welding circuit open).
I1, U2 Current and normalized voltage.
X. Duty cycle. Indicates the relationship between the time the equipment can operate for and the time
for which it should be rested. The time is expressed as a % based on a 10-minute cycle. (e.g.: 60%
means a cycle of 6 minutes in operation and 4 minutes resting).
A/V current regulation field and corresponding arc voltage.
10- Data corresponding to the mains supply.
U1 Power voltage and tolerance.
