The automatic amperes limitation mode may also be activated in case the maximum configurable
power value, function Nº 10, is exceeded. The mode is particularly useful for facilities with sensitive
consumption limits or when using the equipment with generators with a nominal power of less than 5
KVA. In this case, it's enough to introduce the nominal power of the generator that will be used, or the
maximum power the facility can provide in the advanced function Nº 10, thereby guaranteeing the
equipment will not cause an overload.
SOLTER ICON equipment featuring PFC technology is capable of offsetting voltage drops at the faci-
lity that arising from the use of a section of faulty cable (the equipment can offset this drop and conti-
nue operating as normal). Furthermore, the equipment will detect the occurrence of this voltage drop
and the upper left alarm indicator will flash. This alarm will disappear when the power voltage has
been restored. The equipment should not be used at full power when this alarm is on, as although the
equipment may offset these faults in the power supply, the facility may be damaged. The AC power
network should be checked before carry on using the equipment.

Setting parameters:
The ramp-start parameters are pre-set and may not be altered.
Welding methodology:
Use the TIG torch which is appropriate for the process, SR 17V or SR 26V. Connect the torch to the ne-
gative pole and the earth connection to the positive pole. Open the gas, tap the part to be welded and
place the tungsten tip 1 mm or 2 mm from the part. Maintain this position throughout the welding pro-
cess. To finalise the welding process withdraw the electrode until the arc goes out. Close off the gas .
