TIG LIFT ASD MODE
Symbol
lighted. Lift-arc tungsten electrode welding with slope down.
Setting parameters:
To commence welding follow the same procedure as in the TIG Lift mode. To conclude the process
raise the arc until it automatically starts the ramp-down and goes out. The height at which the arc
starts to extinguish can be regulated with sensitivity; the greater the value the higher the arc prior to
commencing the extinguishing process.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The welding equipment is fitted with protections which enable the user to check the general state of
the equipment. Consequently, any kind of fault will be shown on the screen.
ICON-1850, 1870CEL and 2050PRO MODELS
The fault indicator on these models will light up in the event of problems in relation to voltage (low or
high) and overheating.
The indicator will remain on for as long as the fault exists. In the event of overheating the equipment
should be allowed to cool down before dealing with the fault.
ICON 1855, ICON 2055 and ICON 2070 DIGICEL PRO MODELS
In addition to the fault indicator, a code specifying the type of fault will appear on the screen in these models.
Error 1
If the maximum time of continuous work is exceeded and the equipment reaches a temperature
which may damage the components, the equipment will shut down and indicate a fault due to overheating.
This type of fault will only disappear when the equipment has returned to its correct operational temperature.
Error 2
The equipment monitors the voltage of the network to which it is connected, and if this network is not
within the correct operational parameters a fault will show up on the screen. If this type of fault appears the
user should check the network voltage of the facility. This type of fault may also occur due to the use of cable
extensions of excessive length or insufficient section.
If the equipment is being connected to a generator, the user should check it complies with the recommended
specifications and that the voltage is set correctly.
Error 4
An initial check of the equipment should be conducted to ensure compliance with all the requirements
for it's correct functioning. Any non-compliance detected will appear on the screen as an E.4 fault.
Check the input voltage; if it is correct, the equipment has some kind of fault.
Error 5
If the control electronics is malfunctioning, the user should turn off the equipment for a few minutes
and attempt to start it up again. If the problem persists contact the technical department.
Error 6
In the event of a short circuit in the equipment output, check the electrode holder clamp is not in short
circuit with the earth clamp. If an external short circuit is not the problem consult the technical department.
