iPod/iPhone Operations

This section describes operations when con-
nected to an Apple iPod/iPhone via the USB
slot.
Notes:
Read the iPod user manual for operation
conditions.
The unit will not operate or may operate
improperly with unsupported versions.
For a list of compatible Apple iPod/iPhone unit with
this model, refer page 30 for iPod compatibility.
Select iPod mode
1. Connect your iPod to the USB connector.
The system will automatically detect the
connected device and switch to the USB
mode ( iPod mode ) and start playback after
a while.
When iPod is already connected
1. Push the [ MODE ] knob until USB mode is
selected.
"TUNER" "CD" "USB/IPOD"
AUDIO" "AUX1" "AUX2"
ER" ...
System will start playback from the previous
position.
Note:
The following operations in Play mode will be
same as USB mode.

Other various play functions
( in Play mode )
Note:
Any play function (Random/Repeat) changes will
be remained after connecting/disconnecting the
iPod. However, system will automatically switch
to All Repeat when the iPod is connected with
Repeat Off to allow continuous listening experi-
ence.

Repeat play

Playback one track repeatedly (Corresponding
to "Repeat Song" in iPod)
1. Press the [ RPT ] button to perform repeat
play .

1. Press the [RPT] button again during Repeat/
All Repeat play.

Random play
Play all songs within a selected category in a
random order (Corresponding to "Shuffle" in
iPod).
1. Press the [RDM] button to perform Random
play.
"TRK RDM" appears in the display while the

ond or longer to perform shuffle ALL.

-Track Random is equivalent to shuffle Album
in iPod.

dom play.
