Adjustment procedures
Position the heat cutter with reference to
the top surface of the material and the
needle.
Loosen heater up/down adjustment screw
A and adjust the height of the hot wire
from the top surface of material 1 to 1 to
2 mm.
Loosen heater right/left adjustment screw
B and adjust the distance of the hot wire
from needle 2 to 3 to 5 mm.
Loosen setscrew 1 to adjust position of
wiper 3 so that it is, as a guide, 13 to 15
mm away from the needle.
Remember that the aforementioned ad-
justment values are mere guides. Make
the aforementioned adjustments so that
the length of thread remaining on the top
surface of the material is 2 to 5 mm by
actually trimming the thread.
Adjust the length of thread remaining at
the needle eyelet to 25 to 30 mm as a
guide. In addition, the adjustment values
may vary with the material and stitch
length. It is, therefore, necessary to adjust
to minimize the length of thread remaining
at the needle eyelet as long as the thread
does not slip off the eyelet.
Adjustment procedures
Preliminary preparation
Turn OFF the power and air supply, low-
er heat cutter unit 3 to its lower end.
Be sure to bring the wiper to the escape

1. Loosen heat cutter unit mounting screw
2 and remove heat cutter unit 3 from
arm 1 .
It is not necessary to remove the arm
from the machine.
Leave heat cutter power line 4 as it is.
