... Operation

Notes

On the Teppanyaki grill, the food is cooked directly on the grill with or without fat.
Your Teppanyaki grill consists of two separately controlled grilling zones. If you
need to grill a large amount of food, you can operate the two grilling zones at the
same time. To prepare small amounts of food, use the grilling zone at the front for
grilling and the zone at the rear to keep the cooked food hot. In this case, the rear
grilling zone must be set to a lower temperature.
■ Before using the Teppanyaki grill, wipe it with a clean cloth to remove any dust
or dirt.
■ Heat the Teppanyaki plate for 8 to 10 minutes at the temperature level you
wish to use for cooking.
■ Ensure that the plate is sufficiently hot before placing the food on it. This is
particularly important when frying meat. If the grilling zone is not hot enough,
the meat might lose its juice and becomes chewy.
■ Use only a little oil or fat. Cook marinated food without additional oil or fat.
■ Use only oil or fat that is suitable for cooking at high temperatures.
■ Frequent marinating improves the taste of the food.
■ Remove any excess liquid using a paper kitchen towel to prevent splashing.
■ To prevent the meat from becoming dry, only season it with salt after grilling is
completed.
If the following occurs, please note that this does not indicate a fault in the
grilling plate and its function is not in any way impaired:
■ When in operation, the Teppanyaki plate expands and can cause
noises.
■ Grilling plates that are frequently used might show slight bulging at the
centre across the zone separation.
■ When grilling food or heating the grilling plate at maximum temperature
level, the stainless steel plate above the grilling zones might become
slightly brown.
