Stop the engine and disengagedriveto attachment
- before refueling;
- before removingthe grasscatcher;
- before makingheightadjustmentunlessadjustment
can be made from the operator'sposition.
Reducethe throttle settingduringengine run-outand, if
the engine is providedwitha shut-offvalve, tum the fuel
off at the conclusionof mowing.
IV. Maintenance
and Storage
Keepall nuts,belts andscrewstightto be surethe equip-
mentis in safe woddngcondition.
Never store the equipmentwith petrol in the tank inside
a buildingwhere fumes may reach an open flame or
spark.
Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclo-
sure.
To reducethe fire hazard,keepthe engine,silencer,bat-
tery compartment and petrelstoragearea free of grass,
leaves,or excessivegrease.
Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or dete-
rioration.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done
outdoors.
Onmulti-bladed machines, t ake careas rotating one blade
can cause other blades to rotate.
When machineisto be parked,storedor leftunattended,
lowerthe cuttingmeansunlessa positive mechanical l ock
is used.
WARNING: Always disconnect spark plug wire and
place wire where it cannot
contact spark plug in
order to prevent accidental
starting when setting
up, transporting,
adjusting or making repairs.
