Refrigerant Connections
The connecting points are shown in pictures 2a, b, c, d. The interconnection of the
refrigerant lines shall be made on the left side of the heat exchanger module of the
evaporator unit.
The heat exchanger module is shipped with rubber plugs in the suction (3/4" for FC5_036
and 1,1/8" for FC5_057 to 180) and liquid piping (1/2"). They are factory-tested and
supplied with positive nitrogen pressure.
-
Avoid bending the tubes excessively since this can
damage them.
-
When bending the tubes, it is advisable to use a
bending radius not smaller than 100 mm.
-
The interconnection and refriger ant charge
interconnection shall be per for med by the
authorized installer.
-
A little tilting towards the evaporator/condenser
must be provided.
Ensure the brazing procedures are proper for the lines, and that nitrogen is used
during the process in order to prevent chips from entering in the piping and the
formation of copper oxides.
When brazing the suction piping of the condenser unit, wrap the unit interior
with a wet cloth in order to protect its insulation. After brazing, complete the
insulation of the suction line inside the unit.
In case the unlevel between the units is higher than 3 m,and in case the evaporator
unit is at a lower level, a siphon shall be installed in the suction line for each 3m
of unlevel in order to guarantee the oil return to the compressor.
For installations where the evaporator and the condenser units are at the same
level, or in case the evaporator unit is at a higher level, install a siphon, at least,
up to the evaporator top (See Pictures 5).
