FC5 units, 057 to 180, have a condensate draining
outlet on the left side. Install the condensate draining
line with proper siphons.
The set of items for the drain connection shall be
acquired in separate for field installation. This line,
which shall not have a diameter smaller than 3/4", must
have immediately after the unit outlet, a siphon to
ensure the air tightness, and the condensate draining
when the unit is operating. At the initial start-up, this
siphon must be filled with water in order to prevent
the air from being suctioned from the draining line.
The siphon must be dimensioned according to the
pressure foreseen for the collecting tray (pay attention
to installations with ducted return).
Check if the location is free from dust and other
suspended particles that cannot be caught by the air
filters, and may obstruct the air coils.
Aiming at a perfect draining of the condensate formed
during the operation, install the equipment a little
tilted towards the side of the draining lines outlet (5
to 10mm).
