9. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
9.1. CHANGING ENGINE OIL
The engine oil must be changed for the first time following the first twenty (20) operating hours. Then
change engine oil every 50 hours. Before replacing the oil, find out the best way to discard used
oil. Never discard this oil in sewers, in a garden or in waterways. Please refer to local discard and
environment regulations as they provide detailed instructions.
1.
Place your pump on a flat surface;
2.
Start the engine and let it run for 1 minute;
3.
Stop the engine;
4.
Unscrew the drain plug [(a) Fig. 02];
5.
Fit a container under the drain hole [Fig. 30];
6.
Let the oil flow when the engine is hot;
7.
Fill the engine in with oil [Fig. 04 and 05] so that the top level, on the oil dipstick, is reached [(c)
Fig. 03];
8.
Fit the oil dipstick and tighten it [(a) Fig. 02].
■ Never exceed the maximum oil level [(c) Fig. 0 3];
■ The engine oil level must always be between the maximum level [(c) Fig. 0 3] and the minimum
level [(d) Fig. 0 3].
NOTE
Use high quality new oil. If you use dirty of poor quality oil, or is there is not enough oil, the lifespan
of oil will be reduced and the engine will be damaged.
