11. TROUBLE SHOOTING

If, following several attemps, the engine of the pump still does not start, please refer to following table.
Then, if the pump cannot start, please contact the IMER dealer or the nearest After-Sales Service to
get information and to be instructed with measures to take.
THE ENGINE CANNOT START:
Make sure position of the CHOKE LEVER is
correct.
Make sure priming bulb is well filled.
Check petrol level.
Make sure the position of the engine switch is
correct.
Make sure the spark plug is not dirty.
Make sure the spark plug cap is correctly fitted.
THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPS:
Out of fuel.
LACK OF POWER FOR THE ENGINE:
Air filter clogged.
THE ENGINE DOES NOT RUN CORRECTLY OR STALLS:
The CHOKE LEVER was removed too early.
THE ENGINE CORRECTLY RUNS WHEN IDLE BUT SPUTTERS WHEN LOADED:
Engine speed is too low.
NOTE
If the pump still cannot start, please contact the IMER dealer or the nearest After-Sales Service to
get information and to be instructed with measures to take.
Put the CHOKE LEVER to the CHOKE
(CLOSED) position.
Press the priming bulb repeatedly until fuel can
be seen in the priming bulb.
Fill up the tank in case it is empty. Do not overfill it.
Put the ON / OFF switch to position ON
(START).
Remove the spark plug and clean the electrode.
Fit the spark plug cap in case it is removed.
Fill with fuel.
Replace the air filter.
Leave the CHOKE LEVER in the CHOKE
(CLOSED) position until the engine runs
regularly.
Move speed control to fast H (HIGH SPEED)
position.
