3 Installation

Connect the mains cable to a socket outlet with protective earth (safety class 1).
Be careful of touching the hot surface around the cover of the filler jacket of the tank when it has
been in use.
Be carfeful of hot liquid when opening the tank for heat transfer liquid when it has been in use.
1. Check that the required supply voltage on the type plate corresponds with the available mains supply.
2. To fill the tank, put the paraffin bath in a slope position (see picture). Remove the cover of the filler
jacket and fill the tank with the heat transfer liquid (art.nr 3448136) untill the liquid becomes visible in
the jacket.* Put the paraffin bath back on its wheels.
3. Fill the bath with the conductive heat carriers (use only Enraf-Nonius paraffin, Paralingo ®, Parafango
Battaglia ®). The best heating is obtained by breaking the tablets in pieces and placing these pieces
against the side walls of the bath.
4. Connect the unit to an earthed wall socket. Turn the on/off switch to position I, and turn the ther-
mostat to the desired temperature. The indicator lamp now lights. When the wax has reached the
preset temperature, the indicator lamp goes out.
Dependent on the amount of wax in the bath, it will take 1 to 3 hours before the wax is completely melted.
Before use, it is advised to check the temperature of the wax with a thermometer.
* = Don't use water as this can cause corrosion!

4 Safety Precautions

If the use of this device may have caused or contributed to an undesirable event such as death or
serious injury to the user, the manufacturer AND the competent authority of the Member State
MUST be notified immediately!
Regulary check the transfer liquid level in the tank. If the level is too low add transfer liquid to the
unit. Before adding the fluid, switch off and disconnect the Paraffin bath from the mains supply.
Do not move the paraffin bath when the device is in use or when the wax is liquid (hot).
Place the lid on the paraffin bath when not in use.
At all times keep away children from the equipment.
When the paraffin bath is not used in the correct way, injury may occur. Supervision by a knowl-
edgeable (para)medic is therefore obligatory.
In the case of ingress of liquids, unplug the device from the Mains supply and have it checked by
an authorized person.
The device is not intended for use in so-called "wet rooms" (hydrotherapy rooms).
