The blade supplied with the saw is a
high quality combination blade suitable
for rip and cross cut operations. Check
all settings carefully and rotate the
blade one full turn to ensure adequate
clearance before connecting the saw to
the power source. Stand slightly to the
side of the blade path and to reduce
the chance of injury if kickback occurs.
WARNING!
Do not use sheets with a rating lower
than thespeed of this tool. Failure to
follow this warning could result in
personal injury. Use the miter gauge
when making rip, miter, bevel, and
compound cuts. To secure the angle,
lock the miter gauge in place by
turning the lock knob clockwise.
Always tighten the safety knob firmly
in place before use.
NOTE: It is recommended that you
place the cutting workpiece on the left
side of the blade and first make a test
cut on the scrap wood.
MAKING A CROSS CUT
See Figures 34 - 35.
• Remove the cutting guide.
• Adjust the blade to the correct depth
for the workpiece.
• Set the miter gauge to 0° and tighten
the locking knob.
• Make sure the wood is clear of the
blade before starting the saw.

• Allow the blade to reach full speed
before moving the workpiece onto
the blade.
• Hold the workpiece firmly with both
hands on the miter gauge and insert
the workpiece into the blade
WARNING!
Make sure the blade guard is installed
and working properly to avoid possible
serious injury.
WARNING!
Using the cutting guide as a cutting
indicator when making a cross cut will
result in kickback that can cause
serious personal injury.
NOTE: The hand closest to the blade
should be placed on the miter gauge
locking knob and the hand furthest
from the blade should be placed on the
workpiece.
When the cut is made, turn the saw off.
Wait for the blade to come to a
complete stop before removing the
workpiece.
