• Lock the bevel lock lever.
• Position the blade to the correct depth
for the workpiece.
• Adjust the miter gauge to the desired
angle and tighten the locking knob.
• Make sure the wood is clear of the
blade before starting the saw.
• Turn on the saw.
• Allow the blade to reach full speed
before moving the workpiece onto the
blade.
• Hold the workpiece firmly with both
hands on the miter gauge and insert
the workpiece into the blade.
NOTE: The side closest to the blade
must be placed in the lock knob on the
miter gauge and the hand furthest from
the blade must be placed on the miter
gauge.
• When the cut is made, turn the saw
off. Wait for the blade to come to a
complete stop before removing the
workpiece.

injury. Incomplete cuts (made with a standard
10-inch blade) can be made with the grain
(ripped) or across the grain (cross cut). The

this machine. This is the only kind of
cutting that is made without the blade guard
assembly installed. Make sure the blade
guard assembly is reinstalled when this type
of cut is completed. Read the appropriate
section that describes the type of cut, in
addition to this section on non-cross cuts. For
example, if your non-cross cut is a straight
cross cut, read and understand the section
on straight cross cuts before proceeding.

• Place dividing knife in "down" position.
• Unlock the bezel lock knob.
• Adjust the bevel angle to 0º.
• Lock the bevel lock knob.
• Adjust the blade to the correct depth for
the workpiece.
