using the same number of chain links. Make sure that the cams are properly centered in the spring bar detent. If needed,
loosen the square head bolt slightly and tap the frame bracket until the cam and the detent are aligned. Use a block of

1. Start out towing slowly in a straight line. Make an approximate 20° turn one way, then a 20° turn the other way.
Straighten out and drive approximately 100 ft. toward a distant point while sighting down the center of the hood.

3. If the cam arm is not seated in the detent of the spring bar, slightly loosen the square head bolt from the frame plate and tap the

frame plate in the direction it needs to go so the cam and the spring bar detent are aligned. Place a small block of wood in front of
the frame bracket when adjusting its position. Lower the jack and remove some of the weight off of the spring bar. This will make
adjusting the frame plate easier. Tighten the square head bolt after adjusting the frame plates position. Repeat for the other side.
Spring bar detents and cams should be aligned at this time.
4. Raise the jack. The trailer and tow vehicle should be setting level at this time. If not, adjust the chain links on the snap-up bracket.
Re-check the cam arm alignment with the spring bar detent again. Adjust the frame bracket again if needed.
