Checking the Hydraulic Oil
The level of the hydraulic oil must be checked once every week. There is a level
indicator in the tank of the hydraulic power unit which can also be seen from the
exterior through a recess in the side panel.
Attention!
If the oil level is too low, this can lead to an increase in operation
temperature and an accumulation of air inside the tank, followed
by a break-down of the pump due to cavitations.
Changing the Hydraulic Oil
The intervals between oil changes depend on the oil condition. The oil should be
exchanged between 1500 and 2000 operation hours. Do so by draining the old oil,
still warm from operation, and replace it. When filling in the new oil, use a filtration of
10µ. We recommend replacing the oil filter as well.
The following table helps you to judge the oil condition on sight:
Representation
Dark colour
Milky, cloudy
Water precipitation
Air bubbles
Floating or settled impurity
Smell of burnt oil
Attention!
If oil has become much too old, it cannot be improved by adding
fresh oil.
