3. Presentation

The travflex™ 2 lifeline is a mobile anchoring device
made up of a single cable horizontal safety bracket
and enabling the creation of an exceptionally simple
system. It is manufactured and tested in accordance
with EN 795:2012 type C and technical specification
TS 16415:2013 type C to receive up to three mobile
anchors known as sliders. Each of these sliders can
be attached to personal protective equipment (PPE)
against falls from a height, in compliance with the
European Regulation 2016/425 and the corresponding
standards.
The travflex™ 2 lifeline was especially designed for
installation and use on low strength structures.
"IMPORTANT": For use of the travflex™ 2 lifeline
by 1, 2 or 3 operator maximum, the line must be
equipped with an INRS shock absorber (page 3, rep.
D) at each end.
"IMPORTANT": The maximum operating load per
operator of any travflex™2 lifeline is 150 kg. Before
use, it is imperative to ensure that all the elements of
each operator's fall arrest system are compatible with
this load by referring to their respective manuals. If this
is not the case, the maximum load will be that of the
element of the fall arrest system which has the lowest
maximum operating load.
"NOTE": PPE associated with the travflex™ 2
lifeline must all bear CE marking.
The maximum force generated at each end or
intermediate structural anchor is 1,000 daN. The
minimum shear strength of these parts is 1,500 daN.
For bend anchors, the maximum force generated is
1,200 daN The minimum shear strength of these parts
is 2,000 daN, regardless of the number of anchors and
the length of the lifeline.
The travflex™ 2 lifeline can be installed at ground level,
on a concrete or steel wall, or across adapted interface
plates on roofs and sidings. In all these installation
layouts, the slider passes freely across intermediate
anchors and bend anchors depending on the layout.
"IMPORTANT": The travflex™ 2 lifeline must
imperatively be installed on Tractel
plates with a minimum shear load of 15 kN shown for
the end and intermediate anchors and 20 kN for bend
anchors.
